Debate on the definition of the architect's knowledge and abilities.
1975: the EAAE (European Association for Architectural Education / Association
Européenne pour l’Enseignement de l’Architecture) was founded, focused on the theme of Sustainability in Education.
1999: the UIA/UNESCO Charter for Architectural Education is approved.
1999: the Bologna Process: to ensure more comparable, compatible and coherent systems of higher education in Europe.
2001: the ENHSA (European Network of Heads of Schools of Architecture) was founded.
2004: definition of a common European platform for higher education in architecture. The work is divided into five themes:
1) occupation and education, 2) assessment, 3) curriculum; 4) exchange and mobility, 5) doctorates.
2005: highlight on the emerging challenges for the profile of the architect, for the content and organization of studies, and for research and innovation in architecture.
2007: workshop for the architectural design teachers on "Teaching and testing in Architectural Design: Technological Innovations and Pedagogical Changes. "
